Vaginismus

Unusual condition in which muscles around entrance to vagina go into spasm, making intercourse, vaginal examination, or use of tampons painful or impossible; spasm may be accompanied by arching of back and drawing together of thighs. If problem has a physical basis, your medical doctor will probably refer you to a gynaecologist; if psychological, sex therapy may be the answer. Constitutional homeopathic treatment may also be beneficial, but the remedies below should be tried first.
