Bornholm`s Disease

A viral infection which causes bouts of violent, stabbing chest pain, with Fever, Headache, Cough, and loss of appetite; lasts 3-4 days, but full recovery may take 2 weeks. Orthodox treatment is to give painkillers. Plenty of fluids should be drunk. If remedies below seem inappropriate, select one from Cough.

Specific remedies to be taken every 2 hours for up to 10 doses

• Chest pain made worse by coughing or slightest movement Bryonia 30c
• Symptoms worse in sultry, thundery weather Rhododendron 30c
