Earache

Ear pain must always be investigated promptly by your medical doctor or homeopath. Causes include Outer Ear Infection (pain made worse by pulling ear lobe), barotrauma or pressure damage (a painful, blocked feeling not relieved by swallowing, especially if brought on by air travel), acute Middle Ear Infection or Eustachian Tube Blockage (if earache comes on suddenly), or a build up of Ear Wax (if earache comes on gradually).

Earache accompanied by a discharge of pus or blood may be a sign of acute infection of the middle or outer ear. Earache after a Cold may indicate acute infection of the middle ear. Earache with pains in the jaws, teeth, face, or throat may be caused by dental infection, Sinusitis, or throat infection. Earache after ear piercing may be due to infection of the outer ear and should be treated as for ear abscess; since both Hepatitis and AIDS can be spread by poor sterilisation procedures during ear piercing, it is extremely important to go to a reputable jeweller to have your ears pierced.

Specific remedies to be taken every 1/2 hour until correct diagnosis is reached, provided pain is not associated with fever, discharge, or pains elsewhere
