Head Banging

Usually means that baby needs more love and attention; banging head on side of cot is an expression of anger and hurt feelings; if parents open up more, baby will probably redirect anger against them, at least for a while. Just occasionally, head banging may be due to Earache. Sides of cot should be padded to prevent injury.
