Cramps During Pregnancy

Cramp in the calves is common during pregnancy, and very exhausting if it occurs at night as well as during the day.

Specific remedies to be taken every 4 hours for up to 7 days

  • Cramp worst in calves, but relieved by warmth and walking Veratrum 6c
  • Cramp in calves and soles of feet, numbness or pins and needles in arms and hands, rest relieves discomfort, cold makes it worse Nux 6c
  • Cramp mainly affects left leg but wears off when pressure is applied Colocynth 6c
  • Legs feel cold and numb, but better for cold applications Ledum 6c

Self-help: If cramp is persistent, take Mag. Phos. tissue salt as well as one of the remedies above.
