From Gelsemium sempervirens, yellow jasmine. The homeopathic remedy is prepared from the root of the fresh plant which contains an alkaloid which interferes with nervous control of breathing and movement, causing paralysis, trembling and inflammation.
Constitutional Indications
Individuals of limited intelligence, who are dull and heavy-looking and have a bluish tinge to their skin, often respond well to Gelsemium. The remedy is also beneficial for heavy smokers.
