Citrullus colcynthis - bitter apple, bitter cucumber - pulp of fruit

From Citrullus colocynthus, the bitter apple or bitter cucumber. The homeopathic derivative is most commonly used to relieve anger and destructive effects of anger, and severe abdominal pain. It is made from the pulp of the fruit, which contains colocynthin, a substance which acts on the bowels, causing great pain and painful straining when stools are passed; the stools themselves become very watery.

Colocynth is best suited to people who are fair-haired and fair-skinned.
