Urtica

From Urtica urens, the small stinging nettle. The homeopathic remedy is made from the fresh plant when it is in flower. As the old rhyme says, a propos of nettles: 'Cut them in June, come back again soon. Cut them in July and you cut them down truly.' Urtica is traditionally used to alleviate conditions accompanied by burning or scalding sensations.
