This mainly affects the central nervous system, bone metabolism, liver and kidneys. It may be involved in child hyperactivity and joint problems, and has been implicated in Alzheimer's Disease.
Sources Aluminium pans - especially when used to cook vegetables or fruit (e.g. rhubarb, apples), pressure cookers, teapots, cake tins, pie tins, roasting pans, baking foil, foil saucers, Coffeemate, water, antacids, domestic water and water boilers, yoghurt pot lids, fruit juice containers, TV dinners in foil, etc. It is released from the soil by acid rain. It is aggravated by a deficiency of Magnesium and Calcium. |
