Agoraphobia

Extreme Anxiety attached to being in public or crowded places. By avoiding such places anxiety is reduced to a tolerable level, but the anxiety is also reinforced. Since panic feelings can be made worse by hyperventilation or Hypoglycaemia, simply treating these may help to keep phobia under control. If not, behaviour therapy may be effective.

Specific remedies to be given 4 times daily for up to 7 days, or 1/2 hourly for up to 10 doses

  • If phobia is acute and disabling, Person terrified of dying or collapsing if he or she goes into a shop, gets onto a bus, etc. Aconite 6c 
  • Fear brought on by an accident Arnica 6c
  • Person chilly, exhausted, restless Arsenicum 6c 
  • In an emergency, where no other remedy seems to be indicated Sulphur 6c
