Warty or cauliflower-like growths in bladder lining, benign or malignant thought to be associated with protein-rich Western diet, which leads to high level of L-leucine (an amino acid) in blood. If tumour blocks ureter, urine may be forced back into kidney causing a condition known as hydronephrosis, or acute Pyelonephritis; because of tumour, bladder may also be more vulnerable to Cystitis. Symptoms are blood in urine, Painful Urination, Frequent Urination, and perhaps pain in kidney area. In early stages tumours can usually be successfully destroyed; if a large area of bladder lining is affected, whole bladder may have to be removed and an external bladder fitted.

Constitutional homeopathic treatment is compatible with surgery.

• When symptoms are most painful and while waiting for surgery Thuja 30c every 12 hours for up to 3 days
• Immediately after operation Staphysagria 30c, 3 times daily for up to 5 days
