Lymphangitis

Inflammation of lymph vessels, visible as thin red lines under skin; these radiate from site of infection - broken skin infected with Streptococcus bacteria, for example, as in Erysipelas - to nearest lymph gland. To be on safe side, consult your doctor if there is no improvement in 12 hours as there is a risk of Septicaemia. If inflammation is severe and Fever has set in, consult your doctor if there is no improvement in 2 hours; medical doctor will probably prescribe antibiotics. While waiting for medical attention, try one of the remedies below.

Specific remedy to be taken every 10 minutes for up to 10 doses if inflammation is severe

  • Skin swollen and discoloured, discomfort relieved by pressure, temperature starting to rise, worse on right side of body Crotalus 30c

Specific remedies to be taken every hour for up to 10 doses

  • At first signs of inflammation, skin dry, hot, and tender, neighbouring lymph glands swollen Belladonna 30c
  • Left side of body most affected, blue discolouration of skin, symptoms worse after sleep Lachesis 30c
  • Thin red line threading up arms or legs from a septic lesion Hepar sulph. 30c
