May be due to Appendicitis (severe, continual pain, especially over appendix area, not relieved by vomiting), obstruction (severe, continual pain, not relieved by vomiting bile, stomach distended, constipation or diarrhoea depending on seventy of obstruction, sometimes fever), Food Poisoning (diarrhoea and vomiting), Gastroenteritis (fever), swollen glands in the stomach, Constipation, wind, Colds and other infections of the upper respiratory tract, urinary tract infections (frequent or painful urination), Peptic Ulcer, food Allergy, and psychological discomfort (see Stress, Anxiety, Insecurity).
If slightest movement causes agony and screaming, child may be suffering from a burst appendix; appropriate action is to dial 999, and give Lachesis 6c every 5 minutes for up to 10 doses until help arrives. If child is in severe pain and vomiting green-yellow bile, cause may be obstruction; again, contact Emergency Medical Services, but in this case give China 6c every 5 minutes for up to 10 doses.
If pain is associated with a lump in the groin or testicle, child may be suffering from a strangulated inguinal Hernia or torsion of the testicle (see Testicle Problems); in either case, consult your doctor if there is no improvement in 2 hours.
Specific remedies to be given every 5 minutes while waiting for help to arrive
