Greying Hair

Essentially, we all go grey when our genes say so, when they turn off the pigment-producing cells in our hair follicles. However, premature greying may be due to a lack of Vitamin B5 or PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid) or to severe Stress; it can also be an indicator of increased risk of Autoimmune Disease. If associated with Eczema or Hair Loss, constitutional treatment would be appropriate, but the remedies given below should be tried first.

Specific remedies to be given every 12 hours for up to 1 month

  • Greying associated with hair loss, especially after grief or prolonged mental stress Phosphoric ac. 6c
  • Greying associated with baldness and eczema behind ears Lycopodium 6c
  • Greying associated with hot flushes and painful scalp Sulphuric ac. 30c

Self-help: Vitamin B12 and B complex and also zinc are recommended.
