From Euphrasia officinalis (also known as E. sticta) common eyebright. The homeopathic remedy is made from the whole fresh plant, traditionally used as a cure for eye ailments. The poet Milton wrote that the Archangel 'Purged with Euphrasy and Rue the visual nerve, for he had much to see'.
